he Irish Inn was founded by Everett & Jayne Colvin, lifelong residents of Marshall County, and opened on September 19, 1997, after twenty-two months of construction. Everett & Jayne has spent over forty years in a service industry in which they owned and operated. Always being a helping hand in their community whenever needed. At the age of sixty-five they felt that it was too early for retirement and found themselves with excessive energy and the desire to continue to serve the public in a way that was far above all other accomplishments in their lives. The Irish Inn was constructed from an eighteen seventy farm home, with the addition of fourteen guest rooms decorated in Country Victorian and to become one of the finest inns in the United States.
